Privacy

The financial values you enter into the calculators are processed in your browser. They are not sent to a CostsPerDay application server for calculation.

Local storage

The current calculators do not save your financial values to localStorage automatically. If a future feature offers local saving, it will be opt-in and this page should be updated before that feature is published.

Shareable URLs

Some calculators can place non-sensitive calculator values in URL parameters when you choose “Copy share link”. Do not enter sensitive personal information in free-text fields or share URLs containing values you consider private. Parameterized calculator URLs are marked noindex by the page script and point canonically to the base calculator URL.

Email list

If you leave your email address in the form on the home page, we store the address, the date and time, the page you were on and the language of the page. It is stored in a Cloudflare Workers KV database in our own Cloudflare account. No mailing service or other third party receives it, and we do not sell or share it. We use it only to write to you about new CostsPerDay calculators. To avoid abuse the form also keeps, for one hour, a counter linked to a shortened hash of your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored with your email address. To unsubscribe or have your address deleted, email info@costsperday.com from that address and we will delete it.

Hosting logs

The hosting provider can process normal web request logs such as IP address, requested path, timestamp and user-agent information as part of operating and securing the website.

Cookies and analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookie-free: it sets no cookies and builds no advertising profile, and we only see aggregated figures such as page views, popular pages, referring sites, browsers and countries. There are no advertising scripts on this site, and the calculators themselves do not require cookies.
